Tending

Tending is a relationship management system for social purpose organisations. Named after the underground fungal network that connects a forest, it treats your relationships as living, changing narratives — not rows in a spreadsheet.

Every conversation, event, or observation you record becomes a moment. Moments build up into a story for each connection. Over time, Tending notices how your relationships are changing — deepening, cooling, going quiet — and gently points out patterns you might not have had time to see yourself.

Who it's for

Any organisation whose work depends on relationships rather than transactions: charities, community groups, campaigning organisations, funders, and anyone else for whom "who do we know, and how are they doing?" is a real, ongoing question.

Getting started

  1. Sign in and create your organisation.
  2. Add connections — the people, groups, and organisations in your network.
  3. Record moments as they happen, in your own words. Tending will suggest matching connections and can automatically update relationship qualities and story summaries as you go.
  4. Explore the Network view to see your relational ecosystem as a living map, and check Observations for patterns worth your attention.
